Welcome to Issue 22
A big rush to get this to you all before Christmas!
Ann and I had a fabulous time in South Africa. We learnt so much and met some wonderful people. Also, we have had many promises of articles from around the world. Jill Stacey from Autism South Africa has written a powerful piece on the state of autism in South Africa. We look forward to working closely with them so that we can give them some much needed support.
Read about my meeting with Dr Andrew Wakefield on page 20, we need to support him, if anyone would like to join me in helping where we can, then please contact The Autism File.
If there are any readers out there that would be interested in doing a book review for us, then please get in contact.
We regularly get sent the latest books on autism, some medical, some not, so pick your choice and give us a call!
The Hesley group visit was memorable for Jon and I, they have wonderful facilities and gave us great hope for our future plans with The Autism Trust, a future for Billy and others like him.
I really hope you enjoy this issue; it has been great fun to put together.
Please remember that this magazine is for all of you. If you would like a specific area to be highlighted, someone you would like to see interviewed, then please let us know and we will do our best to cover it for you. This is your magazine.
I do actually believe that all though we have a long way to go, we are getting somewhere…
Have a lovely Christmas and a great New Year!
