Welcome to Issue 24

As I write we are still recovering from The Autism File ball, we had a fantastic night! It was great to be supported by so many of you; we raised lots of money for the charity, The Autism Trust, for which we are extremely grateful. You can see some of the photo’s on page 22.

This magazine has a real mixture of issues from Henry's very sad and important story that we can all learn so much from, through to Stephen Shore’s inspiring interview, Dr Ken Bock, The Hesley report on their new developments and an up date on the WAO from Paul Shattock among many other articles.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dunfirth Farm in Ireland, where adults with autism live and are cared for. It was a truly wonderful day and I thank Pat and Nuala Mathews for their time and patience with my non stop questions! I am also so grateful to them for their support with our ‘farm community’ that we are building in the UK.

Many of you have now joined the WAO (World Autism Organisation) Please don’t worry if you haven’t got round to it, just call us or Paul Shattock and we’ll send you a form.

Issue 25 will be with you in September, so have a fantastic summer and if anyone goes on any great holidays that you can recommend for families with autism, then please let us know!

I hope you enjoy this issue and as always we welcome your feedback.
